Markets in Axarquía

All kind of markets

The towns and villages in Axarquía, and the surrounding Andalucia, usually host a colourful and lively street market once or twice a week. Some also have a regular flea market, car boot sale, antique or art market. In summer and during fiestas, many coastal towns have night markets that open at dusk and stay open until 2.00 h. in the morning. Most larger towns also have a daily covered market selling fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, e.g. the Mercado Atarazanas in Málaga

Various products

Most street markets have a variety of stalls where you can find local fresh produce including vegetables, fruit, nuts, olives, herbs, flowers and plants. Handicraft stalls sell jewellery, pottery, metalwork, ceramics and a host of other imaginative products. You will also find clothes, swimwear, shoes, watches, handbags, suitcases, sunglasses, kitchenware, linen, towels and seasonal products.

Where and when?

Here you will find a list of markets. Almost always, street markets and covered markets run in the mornings from 9.00 or 10.00 h. to 14.00 h.
