Enjoy Spanish culture

Andalusia is often called the real Spain because the roots of Spanish culture are most evident here. Think of the passionate flamenco music that sometimes lasts for days and nights. But also the food is different than we are used to. People here take ample time for meals. The pace is clearly lower. So relax!

Music and flamenco

Flamenco contains Indian, Jewish, Turkish, Arab, North African and Spanish influences. The music is developed by gypsies and rooted finally in the Spanish culture. Nowadays youth dances on the flamenco nuevo, with influences from jazz and rap. But also in the traditional flamenco there is plenty of cooperation between musicians from different generations. You might just be an unexpected witness when someone suddenly starts to sing in a village pub.

White villages in the Axarquía region

Beautiful tours can be made in search of authentic villages with typical Spanish conviviality. What do you think of a delicious glass of wine on an idyllic terrace? Taste the atmosphere and enjoy the everyday life in a Spanish village. It is also nice to visit a local market. More information about the white villages and markets can be found here.
